Consumers/Dornin-Adams, Inc., has been providing metal-crafting services to the Mid-Atlantic region since 1861. Founded by Thomas B. Dornin, we initially supplied tinware to our community. A century later, Dornin’s business merged with fuel oil supplier Consumers to become Consumers/Dornin-Adams: a metal fabrication and roofing business serving clients all over the Mid-Atlantic region.

Since then, we’ve gone on to construct roofs on factories, railway stations, universities, and more. We’ve installed ductwork in the Lynchburg Academy of Music Theatre and on the U.S. Navy’s first nuclear ship, the N.S. Savannah. We’ve constructed missile boxes for the U.S. Army, counters for the Federal Reserve, and preserved history through automobile and architectural restoration projects.

While our 30,000-square-foot facility’s technology and techniques have modernized, we will never lose sight of the aforementioned quality standards that have been passed down to us since 1861. We all take great pride here in being able to stand behind our workmanship and high standards, and we welcome the challenges and opportunities of unique or difficult projects and needs.

Please contact us with any ordinary or extraordinary problems you may have. We would like very much to be of service to you.
